The Forward Deployed Consultant owns a customer engagement end to end: from the executive business case, through rapid design and deployment of automated process solutions (“Blueprints”) on the Agentforce platform, to a clean handoff to partners and client teams. You will advise enterprise leaders, quantify ROI, and map multi-year automation roadmaps. You bring domain depth in supply chain, ERP, or finance operations processes, including where people patch over system gaps. You will also roll up your sleeves to build, test, and iterate Blueprints with AI agents and prompting tools, proving value fast in live production. You are customer-obsessed, strategic, and execution-focused, with the speed and quality to turn fragmented manual workflows into scalable, value-driven solutions.

Responsibilities

Strategic advisory and business case

  • Serve as the primary strategic advisor to enterprise stakeholders, building a deep understanding of business goals and operational pain points.
  • Build business cases and define success criteria up front: KPIs such as cycle time and cost per transaction, with a measured baseline.
  • Own multi-year roadmaps for process Blueprints and automation, balancing strategic direction with near-term execution.
  • Present to executives in terms of their priorities; flag when work is off track early and plainly, with a fix, and drive to a decision.

Blueprint design and rapid value proof

  • Lead structured discovery (workshops, process maps) and turn it into a solution design and a first working version in days to weeks.
  • Automate business processes end to end (procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, supplier onboarding), deciding what stays in the ERP, what is automated around it, and what AI decides versus people.
  • Build hands-on with AI agents and prompting tools: design prompts, structure outputs with schemas and examples, and debug and iterate when they fail.
  • Identify integration points with core systems (REST, event-based), managing risks such as auth, latency, payload limits, and retries.

Specification and delivery

  • Translate strategic goals into clear PRDs and technical acceptance criteria.
  • Deliver in continuous build loops (design, build, validate, refine), where each loop proves value and expands scope toward AI-first operations.
  • Lead an AI-first delivery experience, using AI agents and skills to accelerate requirements, build, testing, and documentation.
  • Own delivery end to end through go-live: scoping, build, UAT, data migration, and cutover, managing scope change along the way.
  • Cut scope to the highest-value slice(Day 1 Scope/MVP)) when needed to get live, and justify the trade-off to the customer.

Ownership transfer to customer or partner

  • Design and run handoff processes, documentation, and enablement that transition ownership to implementation partners and customer teams.
  • Set handoff guidelines, solution architecture documentation, and success criteria for sustained post-deployment success.

Required qualifications

  • 5+ years in Solutions Consulting, Forward Deployed roles, Strategic or Management Consulting, Product Management, Process Automation, or Business Analysis.
  • Domain depth in supply chain, ERP, or finance operations processes (procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, AP/AR, supplier onboarding), including where people patch over system gaps.
  • Hands-on experience building AI or agent-based automation yourself, including prompt design, output structuring, and iterating on failures.
  • Experience engaging enterprise executives in B2B SaaS to build business cases and long-term roadmaps.
  • Proven track record owning engagements from discovery through go-live (UAT, data migration, cutover), not just POCs, followed by structured handoffs.
  • Strong grounding in workflow mapping, process modeling, process improvement, and change management.
  • Experience translating business requirements into automated workflows, PRDs, and user stories.
  • Working knowledge of integration patterns (REST, SOAP, event-based) and common risks such as auth, latency, and payload limits.
  • Track record of setting success KPIs and baselines up front and measuring outcomes after go-live.
  • Executive presence: confident with skeptical executives and willing to deliver bad news early, with a plan.

Preferred qualifications

  • Familiarity with the Salesforce platform ecosystem (APIs, platform services).
  • Track record building or navigating partner ecosystems and implementation channels.
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or related process improvement certification.
  • Technical or business degree; MBA a plus.

Success metrics

  • Time to first working version: days to weeks from discovery, not months.
  • Go-live rate: share of engagements that reach production, not just a POC.
  • Measured value against baseline: KPI movement after go-live (such as cycle time or cost per transaction) compared with the baseline set up front.
  • Roadmap and expansion: each go-live earns the next swing, with adjacent processes added to the roadmap and expansion driven in the account.
